Asking the hard questions and a call to conscious awareness

Dear wild-hearted wanderer,
How can we speak of love, compassion, understanding, and shared humanity, when we’re selective about who we offer it to?
When we’re so quick to judge those who think differently than us.
When we’re so quick to dismiss them because their actions don’t align with our moral code.
When we’re so quick to shame their ways because we choose not to see their humanness.
How can we stand for change when we can’t stand for open dialogue?
How can we stand for change when we’re stuck in our own helplessness and powerlessness?
How can we stand for change when we’re unwilling to take responsibility for our own part in it all?
I get it. These are tough questions.
And I don’t proclaim to have the answers.
In fact, I grapple with them too.
How can I speak of love and compassion when I’m quick to judge someone based on whatever external opinion or indicator?
How can I speak of love and compassion when I dismiss those whose actions I don’t understand?
How can I speak of love and compassion when I shame another because I choose not to see their humanness?
One thing I do know:
I’m done being an innocent bystander.
I’m done playing the helpless victim.
I’m done pretending I have no power.
I will choose the path less traveled. I will ask the hard questions. I will crack open the locked-up doors—even if it means being ridiculed, shamed, or judged.
Because we can’t expect change if we’re not willing to partake in the battles.
We can’t expect change if we’re moving with the herd.
We can’t expect change if we’re not willing to hear the other side.
We can’t expect change if we accept our own complacency.
We can’t expect change if we’re not willing to question the roots of the very systems we blindly participate in.
The world as we know it is crumbling.
The old ways aren’t working anymore.
And the new world won’t be built by conditioned minds repeating the same conditioned patterns.
So where do we begin?
We begin within.
We begin by cultivating our own awareness.
By getting curious about our own narratives and the mental stories running the show.
By examining the ways we contribute to the very thing we say we want to change.
What role am I playing in the world?
How am I contributing, consciously or unconsciously, to the problem or the solution?
And that’s why I love Human Design.
Because self-awareness is the foundation of change.
Because seeing ourselves clearly shifts how we engage with the world.
It reveals the stories that aren’t really ours.
It highlights where we’ve been conditioned to believe we’re powerless.
It shows us how we’ve shaped our decisions, our perspectives, and our actions based on external influences rather than inner truth.
But most importantly?
It reminds us of our choicelessness—of our genetic mechanics, of how we are uniquely designed to move through life.
It reminds us that when we reclaim our inner authority, we reclaim our power.
And that’s how real change begins.
Because the revolution isn’t out there.
It’s in here.
And it starts the moment you choose to see yourself clearly.
Sending you a deep and nourishing breath,
Silvia
